Brightness Control Ultimate

Advanced gamma, brightness and contrast control for your monitors — and it keeps working in fullscreen games, letting you override in-game color settings with precision.

One-time purchase Free trial No subscriptions Works offline once activated

Key features

Designed for performance and accuracy.

Gamma, brightness and contrast

Full control of the three settings most monitors expose only as a single "brightness" slider — and most operating systems do not expose at all.

Per monitor

Adjust each monitor independently, so a laptop panel and an external display can be calibrated to their own characteristics instead of sharing one compromise setting.

All monitors at once

Apply the same adjustment across every connected monitor in one action when you want them consistent instead.

Full-screen & borderless

Works in fullscreen games and borderless windowed applications — overriding in-game color settings with precision, exactly where most display utilities give up.

Clean, lightweight interface

A compact WPF interface written in C#, built to stay out of your way. No bloat, no heavyweight panels competing with the game.

Built for accuracy

Adjustments are applied for accuracy and performance rather than as a crude filter, so colors stay true instead of being washed out.

Why it exists

Most laptops and monitors ship with a single brightness control, and Windows itself offers nothing finer. That leaves two common problems: a laptop screen that is too bright at night, and a desktop panel that is too dim in a bright room — both fixed by opening an expensive external display.

Gamma control is the part most tools skip. It shifts midtones rather than pushing overall output, which is what you actually want for a dark room — and it is the setting you need when a game insists on its own brightness and ignores everything else. Brightness Control Ultimate gives you all three controls, per monitor, and keeps working while a fullscreen game is running.

Getting it

Try it first — the trial has full functionality.

How purchase and activation work

Brightness Control Ultimate includes a free trial with full functionality. After the trial, a one-time purchase unlocks permanent access — there are no subscriptions and no recurring fees.

Online: if the device is connected and a previous purchase is recognised, Brightness Control Ultimate activates automatically — no key entry required.

Offline: if the server is unavailable or you prefer to, enter the serial key manually. Once activated the app works without a connection.

Direct installer

Prefer the installer over the Store? Download the signed .msi straight from the releases page — it installs the same application.

The Microsoft Store build is the recommended route: it updates itself and is the listing customers generally expect.
