Privacy Policy
Zouaouid Tech apps are offline tools that do one job. This page explains exactly what device information is needed to run a license, what is deliberately not collected, and what happens to it.
Last updated: 18 October 2026
The short version
Our apps are licensed to a single device, so we need one value that identifies that device. That value is derived from standard hardware identifiers reported by Windows. On first run you are also asked to type a name of your own choosing, so we can find your license quickly if you ever contact support — it is a label you invent, not your legal name, and we never ask you to prove it. We do not collect your legal name, your email, your files, your browsing, your location, or anything about how you use the apps. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no telemetry.
What we collect
Only what is needed to verify a license on the device it was activated on.
| Device identifier | A single value derived from hardware identifiers Windows already exposes: the SMBIOS system UUID, the CPU processor ID, and the serial number of the system volume (the C: drive). The first non-empty value that varies per machine is used. |
|---|---|
| System model information | Computer manufacturer and model, and the BIOS manufacturer, read from standard Windows hardware classes. Used to recognise virtual machines, which is part of the licensing model. It is not stored with your license record. |
| Display name | The name you type yourself when you first run the app. It is a label you choose to help us identify your license during support. It is not your legal name, it is not verified, and it does not have to resemble your real name. |
| Activation key and dates | The activation key issued for your license, and the date of registration and activation. These are held so the app can run without a connection afterwards and so we can confirm a license is valid. |
| License state | Whether this device is activated, the activation code, and the trial state. This
is written to a registry key under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software for your own user account, and to the
license record described under Where it is stored. |
| Contact details you give us | Only if you email us. If you contact support, we keep the message and your email address for as long as needed to resolve the issue. |
The device identifier is read by a helper process that runs alongside the app to validate the license. It runs hidden, has no user interface, and is not a Windows service.
What we do not collect
No legal identity
We do not ask for, receive or store your legal name, postal address, phone number, or email address as part of licensing. The only name we hold is the one you type yourself on first run, and you are free to make it anything.
No network identifiers
No MAC address is read or stored. We do not build a profile of the network you are on. (As with any online request, the server you connect to necessarily sees your IP address as part of the connection.)
No content or activity
We never see the files you open, the apps you use, the settings you change, or how long you use the app.
No advertising
There is no advertising SDK, no behavioural profiling, and no sale of data to anyone, for any purpose.
How the data is used
- To check whether the license for this device has already been activated.
- To prevent one license being used on more devices than it is issued for.
- To record that an activation happened, so the app can run without a connection afterwards.
- To determine trial eligibility for this device.
- To find your license record quickly if you contact support and give us the display name you chose.
The identifier is used for those purposes only. It is not used for advertising, and it is not combined with any other data about you.
Where it is stored
On your device: the activation state and activation code are stored
under your own user account in the Windows registry, in a location beginning
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software. Nothing is written to machine-wide or shared
locations.
On our side: the device identifier is stored as the key of a license record that holds whether that device is activated. The record also holds the display name you chose, your activation key, and the date of registration and activation. It does not contain your legal name, your email address, or anything about your computer beyond that identifier.
Retention
- License records are retained while the product line exists, because they are the record of which licenses have been issued. They are removed if you ask, subject to the license terms.
- Support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your issue and answer any follow-up.
- Removing the app deletes the local activation state from your machine. Uninstalling does not by itself delete the license record held on our side; ask us if you want it removed.
Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We receive confirmation that a transaction succeeded and a payment reference — not your card details. Card numbers and other payment credentials are entered on the provider's own secure page and never reach us or our servers. Each provider publishes its own privacy policy covering the data it handles.
Cryptocurrency payments, where offered, are settled on the network you choose; the corresponding network provider's privacy policy applies to that transaction.
Your rights and choices
- Ask what we hold. Email us and we will tell you what is stored against your device identifier.
- Ask us to delete it. We will remove the license record on request, subject to the license terms, which state that an issued activation code cannot be revoked.
- Decline the identifier. The app cannot verify a license without it, so declining means it will not run past the trial.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Because these apps are offline tools, changes to data handling are made deliberately and rarely.
